It took me various years before deciding to join this forum... actually I don't consider myself a "collector", even though I do collect handhelds...

Some might know me as author of Game & Watch and handhelds simulators for PC, but I also have a small collection of handhelds - most of which I bought to code simulators actually! Wink

I have 2 handhelds-related websites:

Game & Watch Mania - http://www.madrigaldesign.it/gwmania (Italian Game & Watch shrine)
MADrigal's Simulators - http://www.madrigaldesign.it/sim/ (my freeware simulators)

Hope you enjoy them! Very Happy

Yes, I know your work -- I love those simulators. Some time ago I searched for all the simulators I could find and posted here about what I found.

Oh what a nice post! Smile

I've been the manager of Emuita.it for long time - so I personally added all the simulators to that downloads page.

Glad to know that you like them! Very Happy

Hi Luca! It is REALLY an honor to have here such a famous and important personality here in the forum.I think that you'll enlight us with your great knowledge of the vintage gaming world TOUT COURT, spanning from emulators (one of the most important developers in the world) to your "hardware" know how ,to the fact that you've run that important site that goes under the name of Emuita.it.
Really a pleasure meeting you here! Very Happy

Alex

Thanks for the nice words, you make me blush! Embarassed

I'm not such an expert on EMUlation actually. Yes, I did code my personal build of an emulator ("FunnyMu Unofficial", emulating the creatiVision console), while I'm much more an expert on SIMulation (of handhelds)!

Dear Alessandro, I wish you'll come and visit the forthcoming VGH: Video Games History event in Monza, May 23-25. I'll travel from Sardinia to Monza for that event, and I'll have a conference on creatiVision, and will also introduce my Multicart.

There should also be my good old friend Janusz Daga (one of the world's most important handhelds collectors) with part of his collection for the expo. Smile

EMU-SIM : http://www.madrigaldesign.it/sim/intro.php
Now I got it! Embarassed
Anyway Monza from my town of Merate is a whooping 10 miles away. With some sacrifice I think I might make it!! Very Happy
Hope to be there unless some family business prevents me from going.I remember to have sold 2 or 3 months ago a boxed Microvision system with some game carts on eBay, to someone who told me that he would have brought it to the convention in order to show it in some sort of a retro stand, and invited me to go there.
WOW, I made some research on your friend Janusz Daga ,and he ended up being the 3rd collector of Japanese games in the world ( tens of thounsands and kept in a caveau!) with the major japanese games manufacturers asking him for his advises!! And he is the art director of a major firm in the ad world.WOW !!

Yes I hread that Janusz has become one of the world's main collectors, but I personally never seen his collection, though we're friends since 2002! Very Happy

Meet me at VGH then, we'll soon spread the news about it.
