Takara Handheld Games (12 listed)

Japanese company, licensed Comp IV from Milton Bradley, so they may have been around since the mid to late 70s. The name "Takara" literally means "treasure" in Japanese. They made a series of handheld games called the "Pokeparu" series (which means Pokepal, or Pocket Pal). The katakana that's visible on the Chibi Maruko game says this, and you can see it on most of their other games. The company is still around, making toys based on Transformers and other Japanese cartoons.
